When I was young, my sister and I would watch "The
Goonies" over and over again. It was our favorite rainy day movie.
My mom would make popcorn, and we could recite every line, word for word. You had to pause it, there was NO missing any of the show. I think we both loved Brand and Mikey.

We also loved the swearing. Since we were quoting the movie, we weren't really swearing when we said their lines. Remember that? Ah yes, we were rebels.

Chris and I watched this with Tyler the other night. It was almost like a right of passage. He
get's to go to the Maturation Program next week, which to me means he has earned the "right" to see this hilarious coming of age movie.
Before your jaw drops to the floor, the movie is rate PG. Yes, I'm amazed at it's low rating. There's no way I'd let the other kids see it, but Tyler is growing up and I wanted to be the first to watch this classic with him.

He's already repeating some of the lines from memory, and I love that we now share this. Who knows, after this he might get to see
Adventure's In Babysitting!

How hilarious! Charlie LOVES this movie.. me, not so in to it! We watched Karate Kid on T.V. a few weeks ago and that was one of my favs...
How fun to hear the sayings from your kids and the movies you loved when you were younger!
I have no love for Brand whatsoever, it was always Mikey :)
For some reason, I remember also eating chili dogs, the kind with the chili inside them??
How come you wouldn't let the littler ones see Goonies, was it really that naughty? Also, unless you want him spouting "Don't EFF with the Lords of He--" or "Don't EFF with the babysitter!" you maybe want to wait.
Hay que siempre seperar las drogas!
Love you, Sis!
There's a ton of movies that I watch now that I watched as a kid and think "I can't believe my parents let us watch this"!!! So funny. I love you watched this with him.
I really didn't remember the swearing...but there is A LOT of it huh!!!! Fun that you watched it with him on the eve of his Maturation program...not envying you getting to go to that....you should totally send Chris...I just kept holding my breath and pleading in my mind, "please don't ask a question, please don't ask a question" cause the little boy behind us was FULL of them...most of which were not entirely appropriate for the venu to which the nurse said..."that's something you will need to talk to your parents about when you get home."...it was SOOOOOO bad!
