Tyler had a hockey tournament this weekend that the Jr. Grizzlies hosted. The top two teams got to go to the E Center and play the championship game which was huge for the players. Jr. Grizzlies were the #1 team and the Lightning were #2.
It was a crazy game! The ended with a tie, 2-2. Then they went in to a 5 minute overtime, short a man in the penalty box for almost 1/2 of the overtime. No one scored, so they went in to a 5 man shoot out. Tyler was our 3rd shooter, and he SCORED! (top left picture)
The Lightning ended up winning the shoot out, which earned them the championship!
I don't know of another youth sport where a parent can go a scream their head off for their kid/team and not look like a jerk instead of like a proud parent. Let me tell you, I did LOTS of screaming, and loved every minute of it.
