Feelin' Good

As running season approaches and I gear up for my 1st marathon, I am everyday so thankful for my body and my health.

I realize that I put my body through insane amounts of running last year. Something I never expected to do. I'm even more amazed that I'm still running.

I put in over 825 miles last year. It's either a good thing or a bad to know that because I will compete with myself to run farther than that this year (that's a tongue twister).

This weekend I'm supposed to run 14 miles. That will be the farthest I've gone in one run. I'm a little excited, but mostly nervous. Everything depends on your mental and physical state when you start.

What if I sleep bad tonight? What if I didn't eat the right things? What if I let the stress of my life right now over power my mind, and I can't get out of that slump?

It's going to be hard, but it also marks the start of my true training for my first marathon in May. I couldn't by more excited to bring on such pain!
