Our Christmas Holiday

We had a wonderful weekend. Full of family, food, entertainment and games.

Our kids gave a talent show on Christmas Eve. Caely played the piano, Tyler played the recorder in a duet with his Grandma Leslie and then me. Alexa gave us a dance, and Patch sang his Orange song (a song he made up with a dance he does to it).

I woke up Christmas morning to Tyler and Caely dressed as Santa, and Patch & Lexi were the elves. It was so cute!

We had our traditional breakfast at our Great Grandma GG's, and then headed to my mom's for dinner.
My mom made everything look so fancy. We had our other tradition of English crackers on our plates. Dinner was fabulous! My sister-in-law's family came to celebrate with us, and we taught her dad, uncle and cousins, my mom, and my kids, to play Murderer. It's a funny card game, played with lots of people. My kids have been begging to play ever since. It was great fun.

My brother and I had this great idea that his family should sleep over on Christmas night so we could stay up late playing games and then take the kids sledding the next day.

It didn't work out so well. It was FREEZING, and Tyler ended up sick with a fever. We did spend the day playing games, and that was awesome!

We had many Christmas miracles this season, and I am so thankful for each one. I hope to remember this Christmas as one of my favorites.

Awesome - love the kids as santa and elves... Poor tyler in that pic with you, he looks like he's miserable - hope he's feeling better! And honestly, Em. That goatee. It's killing me! It's impressive, but wow... Chris, you know I love ya, but shave that thing off (unless of course it's for some sort of bet/contest...) :)
