S T R E P

Tonight I took Patch in to the doctors. He started a fever in the late afternoon and since we've been around strep lately I thought I'd have him checked. His best friend had it Tuesday so I figured better safe than sorry. It came back negative.
As I got home and shut the car door, my friend called and said that now her daughter had it (she's the sister of the best friend).
So...what do you think the culture will say? I'm taking bets but I'm betting it's positive.

On a funnier (but not so funny) note. My mom called me tonight, well let me give you the conversation:
Mom "I need a little help, I had an accident in my car"
Me "You were in a car accident?"
Mom "no, I just had an accident in my car this morning and I need a little help, I might have broken something like my spleen or a rib"
Me: I'm thinking So you peed in your car? and you need help cleaning it?
Me "I don't understand, you had an accident in your car but not a car accident?"
Mom "I slid this morning on the on ramp...."

My poor mom was in a accident this morning but thankfully she will be okay. She did have a fractured sternum (I think). I just thought it was funny I couldn't figure out what kind of accident she was having (not that she wets herself, hence the confusion).
Dang this March snow. I too slid this morning taking kids to school and the school drop off was COVERED in ice. What happened to 70 degree weather?

Funny, but not funny. Hope today is a better one! Hope Patch feels better soon.

Poor Mom. And that is a funny story. I thought she meant an "accident" too.
