I took the kids up Little Cottonwood for a hike to a waterfall and a picnic lunch. It was so beautiful up there and so easy to get to.

It was a really hot day, up to 100 degrees, and there was a huge fire in the valley so we wanted to get away from the smoke. I don't know that we really did but it seemed like it. Being up in the canyon brings fond memories of when my mom would take us up there.
This canyon starts at the end of the street I grew up on so after we went up the canyon we drove past my old house and I took them to Flat Iron Mesa Park where my brother used to play t-ball and we used to play at the park. Doesn't seem that long ago...
