Making Goals

Last year I started making goals for each year of age I am. It has been a growing experience, I'm so glad I have wise friends to give me crazy ideas and help me carry them out. Out of 33 goals I completed 20. I think that's pretty good seeing as I had NO idea what I was getting myself into.

Some of my goals were completed on purpose and some were by chance by it helped me reflect on the things I'm bringing into my life. What I want and how to go about getting it. It also helped me make more priorities.

Some of my favorite goals were:
~Doing a race with Caely
~Planting a garden
~Reading the Book of Mormon
~Teaching Tyler to do the laundry -this one REALLY paid off!

Some of the goals I didn't complete were:
~Sending Christmas cards
~Finish a blog book
~Get a physical
~teach Alexa to make brownies

This year I've learned from last years mistakes.  I'm excited about a lot of my new goals. I enjoyed reading the Book of Mormon so much that I am taking on the D&C and then when I'm done I'd like to go back and re-read the BOM. Some other goals I'm trying this year are:
~Try a new recipe ever month
~Run a 1/2 marathon every month
~Plant a bigger garden
~Do a pull up/chin up

I have a few more to come up with and I really would like to think of something that helps me AND my kids. Maybe one of my goals should be "thinking up 34 goals". It's harder than it seems.

I bet it would be totally fun to try this. Thanks for sharing some of your goals because you know me and my outlandish ideas sometimes. I can see accomplishing meaningful goals that uplift me and others.

Thanks for the idea my friend.
