I have no clue what I'm doing in that department, so we're just going to fake it!
Friday Caely and I headed to Lowe's to pick up some good dirt and plants. When we got back we went straight to work.
Little did we realize that our ground is a brick of clay! We dug and chopped forever until we finally had the ground soft enough to work with.
I think it turned out really nice and our big flower (I can't remember what we got) has already opened up and is beautiful! Stop by and see it sometime.
Saturday was chore day. The kids worked really hard on the house. They cleaned their rooms and picked up throughout the house.
Then we headed outside to plant our veggie garden. We have two different tomato plants, japelanos and zucchini. Shauna said that four was about all the room I had for, and I'm sure that's more than I can handle.
We then proceeded to wash every window in the house, inside and out AND we cleaned the blinds. Can I just tell you, I love looking out my windows now!
After all the work was done, the girls and Patch put together a picnic for themselves. It was really cute. They made an order form and put plates of food together. It was worth all the dirty dishes they made for all their hard efforts. Grandma also took them to the gas station for slushies. Perfect after a hard days work.

Fake it 'til you make it! I'm so sad I won't have a garden this summer! Grow something for me!
I still haven't gotten anything in. I don't know if I'll get around to it. Hopefully I can at least get in a couple of tomato plants...
Looks really good though, Em!
