Just 90 short minutes until I go to pick him up. For some reason, I just can't wait!

Our Last but His First
Patch started Kindergarten today. His sisters went with us to drop him off and show him the ropes.
They showed him how to put his backpack down to hold his place in line and instructed him on how to play on the play ground. He has good sisters.

The bell rang and they all lined up. Patch has lots of girls in his class that he already knows, not so much on the boys end. That's okay, he's always been a ladies man.
We got to go into the classroom with him and help him get familiar with how the morning runs. He hung up his backpack, found the bathroom, put his attendance bear in it's rightful pocket and
he drew a picture of himself of the first day of kindergarten.
He's all ready for his first day! It was easy saying goodbye. I think Patch is the first kid I didn't tear up at leaving.
The only thing that tugged at me was seeing his face when he got anxious at all the people in his class and their parents. I think it overwhelmed him to be surrounded by so many people and he wasn't really sure of what was going on. I think by the time we left, he was fine.

Awesome last first day of Kindergarten for your family! Good job Mom and Good job Patch!
oooooohhhh that makes me tear up:(...I am so excited for Bree's first day, but I know I will cry!!! I am so glad he had a great first day!
Glad the first day went well! So cute that his big sisters showed him the ropes. I don't think that the reality of Sophie's first day coming up has really sunk in yet. I'm not much of a crier, but I'm pretty sure I will well up. :) Mostly just because I'm an emotional wreck lately....
