I am so frustrated at this point. Here we are, near the end of January. I've run 50 miles, biked 70+, swam (once) and lifted weights. Not only have I not lost weight, but I've gained. I did lose 2lbs. a couple weeks ago, but they're back (hence the gain). Why is this such a battle?
I know I don't eat great but I have made conscious changes to my diet this month to be more healthy. I can't believe that two bowls of ice cream in the entire month could alter no weight loss. I really have no idea what to do now. Any ideas?

My weight loss has skidded to a halt as well. I don't really have any suggestions, since it sounds like you are doing just about everything you should. I know that some things I'm going to do are make sure I get in my water, and get enough sleep. You are in a pretty good place, weight-wise, so I wouldn't focus too much on the scale, and just keep making these little changes. If you're really freaked out about it though, you may have to bite the bullet and start counting calories and all that jazz...
You look fantastic though, so don't be too hard on yourself.
If you want to put your worries to rest, go get your fat % tested! Unless you know where you're starting from, you won't know if you've gone anywhere.
Everything you described above builds muscle along with burning fat. Weight all by itself is a horrible way to measure fitness.
I agree with Karen, you look fantastic, if not too skinny.
I am looking at the pictures on your blog and you look AMAZING!!! I wish I could do half the stuff you do! Run 1000 miles in one year? That's like...insane...and totally awesome! You look great! (although I totally know how frustrating it is NOT to lose...grrr)
Keep your chin up! Keep on keepin' on! You are soooo healthy!
It could be the muscle you are gaining. Totally diff exercises, thus the muscle building.. You can do it - remember what you told me 2 yrs ago when I was doing the weight loss thing - your body goes between 2-3 lbs each way daily!
YOU CAN DO IT!! Because your name is Emily-flippin'-Kesten!!! (love the jillian in me??) =)
Muscle weighs more than fat.....seriously.
You look great.
Ok so I had a baby 3 years ago and have never stopped trying to loose. I think it is constantly on my mind. I do know that I look better and feel better. But I gained 4 pounds about 2 years ago and I pretty much stay within about 6 pounds up and then down. I have lost 10 pounds twice and then gained it right back. I can't seem to loose that 15 lbs. that I want to and keep it there. I think my body likes this weight and while it is fine to be here I work too hard to be just fine. I get sick of hearing it's muscle I know I have more muscle and that the number on the scale shouldn't matter but it kinda does!!! I eat better than anyone I know. I am constantly thinking about good eating choices. So when you figure this out let me know too. Because running my but off isn't really actually running my butt off. I'm obviously a little angry about this too!!! I need a buddy to tell me how to do it!!! IS this not helping sorry!
