Last night we took the kids to see Santa. The kids thought he looked so amazing, he must be the real one!
Patch couldn't sit still, he kept running around and each picture I took he got a crazier face than the one before.
They each stared at Santa for a bit, told him what they wanted and where on their way with their new Christmas coloring book.
As if Santa weren't enough, we headed downtown to see the Christmas lights. It was after 8pm, so I figured people would be clearing out by then. Nope.
It took us longer to find a parking spot then it did to drive downtown! Our patience paid off, we got a fab spot and headed in to beautiful Temple Square.
The kids mostly wanted to go in the visitors center to push all the buttons and stay warm.
After about 20 minutes of being there, they started turning off the lights. I guess we got there a little too late. We headed outside to hear the last of the Nativity story and look at the lights.
This is what Christmas is all about!
On the way home, the kids decided we needed some hot chocolate to warm us up. Chris stopped at McDee's and we let the kids play while they took periodical sips of their too hot cocoa.
*Note for next time: hot chocolate after 10pm, right before bed could prove dangerous. I'm just sayin'.
