What Am Going To Do?

It's 9am, the kids are gone to school. The beds are made, bathrooms clean, laundry folded and most the house is picked up.

I know, it sounds like a dream. Actually, that's how I'm feeling right now, like it's too good to be true. I have been running non stop the last couple weeks for morning till night. Some of it's the "have to's" and some of it's the "want to's" but that doesn't really matter when all you feel is too busy.

Chris is in the same boat, going from morning till night. Crossing paths but never feeling like we really saw each other.

This morning before Chris left for work, he asked me what he could do for me today. I just stood there thinking...nothing. So that's what I said. His response as he thought out loud was, "I don't think I need anything done today either, that's strange". It is strange.

I know this is a lot of mumbling about nothing. What it comes down to is that I have a free day to do nothing, and it scares the crap out of me. What if I forgot something? What should I be doing to get a head before the rest of my busy week consumes me? Does someone else need me today?

It's 9:05 and I think I will take this precious time to play with Patch and get some signs ready for the Turkey Trot next week. Other than that, I'll take it one step at a time.

This is a perfect time to do some self-care! Take some time to read your scriptures, or paint your nails. Do something you always want to but never have time for. It's moments like these that we have to recharge ourselves and fill up our tanks so we can continue serving others :)

I love that life once in a long while gives a break that helps us deal with our own hustles and bustles. I'll tell you ~ pretty green because I haven't been home all day and there's lots waiting for me... lol, *There's always lots waiting! phew...
