Snow Time!
Last Sunday we received about 18" of snow. Chris, Tyler, Caely and I headed out to start shoveling our driveway.
We also have an older woman who lives across the street that we like to shovel for. I use "like" loosely because really, who "likes" to shovel? But we love her and we want to help.
Our next door neighbor and her kids were also out shoveling. It turned into a big shovel fest! We also received some fun news, they canceled church! The power was out in half the buildings and the furnace wasn't working.
After we were done, the kids went to work building the newest hockey member of our family.
Tyler announced to Payton, our neighbor friend, that he's never built a snowman before. Payton felt so bad for the deprived child. Really Tyler and I used to play in the snow all the time, but I must say that the last few years I've been MIA when it comes to snowman building. Payton's mom does that stuff all the time with him, I can see why he felt bad for T.
They are so proud of their work!
As we drove through the neighborhood over the next few days we saw that a lot of our other neighbors got creative and built their own snow families. One house had a Snowbeaver, another had an enormous penguin and a turkey. Kudos on the creativity! Looking forward to the next snow member at our house.

what a great snowman! How fun that the neighborhood had such a good time getting creative with their snow.
And how nice that you are such good neighbors to do her driveway too. I know I'm going to be feeling my shoveling this morning...
Awesome! Hey, you can honestly say that you know someone (well) that loves to shovel snow. I don't know why it's something I love but it is... I'm still leading up to letting the boys do it because it's kinda my thing! LOL
