Nail Biter!

Last week tryouts for The Lightning team started. Tyler did pretty well, but there were three days of tryouts that he had to pass.

He missed last Friday's tryout day, so he had to do his best Tuesday night.

It's amazing how big this kid has gotten. He's now the scary size hockey kids that I would see on the ice and think, "I don't want Tyler to get that big".

He did really well, but there was a lot of talent out there. I know Tyler plays well, but it was a very competitive tryout this time with only 7 slots and 18 kids to choose from.
I was very nervous for him.

Tonight we opened the email with the new team roster on it. Chris read the news out loud and went down each name with growing suspense.

As he got to the third name, I was trying to think how I could help Tyler feel better when his name wasn't on the list. Each scroll of the mouse made the anxiety grow.

Finally, there his name was!

We are so happy and excited for Tyler. He's worked really hard to be a strong hockey player and it's paying off.

He's going to have a great team this year, can't wait for the first tournament!
