Love These Days

I just wanted to share what a great day we had today. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, it was just a good day!

We didn't have one yelling fit. Not a slammed door. No hysterics.

It's about time we had an up day for Patch. I'm feeling extremely blessed and hope we can get a few more days like this with him.

It's nice to feel happy when he's around instead of waiting for the explosions.

I'm so proud of him for using his words today and being so kind to everyone.

Patch had a few friends over this morning, then the boys club disappeared to one of the other boys house. I was a little worried because Patch has such a hard time with more than one friend, but he seemed to do great today!

I'm sure my neighbors think I lost him, but surprisingly I knew where he was....most the time.

We only had a small upset at bedtime, but when I told him I was so happy we didn't have any problems today and asked him to think about how happy he was all day, he turned his attitude around and we ended up with a wonderful night.

Usually when days like this happen, we're on an up slope for a few days/weeks. It's been a long two months of one sad boy and a very frustrated mom and dad. I pray that he can hold on to these better days. It seems I can teach him better when he can handle his moods instead of fighting me head on.

Woo hoo to a happy day!

Yep, he was great while they were all playing.

You by the way totally won cool mom of the day for swooping in with treats.

I really am glad you had a good day. Isn't it funny how their moods totally dictate ours?
