This weekend Chris and I went with some of our fabulous friends to see Jim Gaffigan. About two months ago my friend Cindy mentioned he was coming to town and that we should all take our husbands and go. What a great idea. What I didn't know was that we would hit the 9pm show AND that the 10 days before the show I would be getting 4-6 hours of sleep every night, some of those nights interrupted by sick kids and nightmares. SO Angela, Karen, Cindy and I took our hubbies (or they took us) for a wonderful night of food and laughter. Sadly, both Chris and I were laughing through sleepy eyes, trying to hold our head up and stay awake. Mr. Gaffigan was hilarious, we were just too tired to laugh ourselves to tears.
Then, Saturday night we went with Jill and Stuart to The Killers. It was great! Except that they had two starting bands and by the time they went on stage it was after 9pm. They had a great show, and it was fun to be out with friend and yummy food (I'm seeing a theme here). I can't believe how much energy those guys have, I wish I could steal some because again Chris and I are sitting there with blaring loud music and flashing lights and it's was all we could do to keep our eyes open. I finally had to get up and walk around to wake myself up so I could enjoy the concert. It really was a fun night, I just need ample sleep the week before to stay up past 9! It's just sad, I tell you!

You, girlfriend are not old, JUST tired! I'm glad you all had a great night Friday and hindsight... I should've just got tickets!! Glad you were able to enjoy even though you were so tired!! ;p
I was feeling my age by Saturday morning....it was a late show, but totally worth it. Remember the good-ol-days when you could pull all nighters and then run through the rest of your day like nothing ever happened the night before.....yeah....apparently those days are gone....sad huh?!?!
Glad you guys were able to come with us! It was a great night!!!
So jealous about the Killers concert!!! what the heck- you don't invite me???
And if you're old at 31, what does that make me at nearly 35???
I understand. I don't know how some people do it. I wish I was younger at heart, enough to convince my body that it has some energy.
