I took Patch and Lexi for their way over due well child check ups. We waited FOREVER. We waited in the lobby, waited in the room for over 25 minutes for the doctor (yes, I popped my head out and asked where he was), then we waited another 20-25 minutes for the nurse to get the immunizations together (again I popped my head out).
My poor children did fabulous. I say poor because Patch got 4 shots and Lexi got 6. It was terrible, but they were so well behaved the entire time. We had to go out for ice cream afterwards, of course.
Our fabulous Dr. Pete doesn't except our insurance, but after an experience like this it has opened my eyes to what good health care and what a great doctor can get/do for you. I will do all in my power (like I have any) to get us back to Dr. Pete. In the mean time, if you need a good doctor...

Sorry! There's not much worse than waiting with kids.
Few things make me more crazy than waiting more than a reasonable amount of time at the doctor! At the very least, they should let you know how behind he's running... sheesh. Sorry. Apparently that struck my pet peeve nerve. :)
I would have been furious.. and knowing me would have probley walked out.. I love my dr. and Faa has strict instructions that if he even considers changing insuarnce he has to call me and I will call the Dr's and make sure they will still see us.. he even decided to stay at the same job because of the insuarnce at a new company was not going to cover us.. I think it was HF way of telling us we needed to stay where we were..
