There is nothing quite like having your first born turn 13. I don't even know how to put it into words, and I'm pretty sure only mother's who've been here before can understand. Maybe it's just me. I'm so excited for this next adventure in Tyler's life. He's no longer a sevy, but a big eighth grader. Before you know it he'll be on his way to High School and then a mission and college. Time flies.
Tyler couldn't sleep the night before his birthday, he was a little excited for the unknown.
Tyler's been working out a lot lately so the kids got him some new, heavier weights and he got my iTouch with a skin it on it.
The girls and I got up early and decorated for him, but even better, our dear friends, they Mayo's came and decorated outside the night before.
I worked out a surprise with his friends. Around 9am I told Tyler we should go get doughnuts for his birthday. When he got out to the car, they were all there waiting in the car to go with us.
After doughnuts, I"m pretty sure they were all on a sugar high. All the friends hung around, popped balloons and got all dressed up in the younger kids costumes. They were busting at the seams!
Such a fun day!
