Alexa's Dance Recital

Alexa decided to dance with her friend Amber at a new studio this year. It was a really hard decision for me  to let her do this because her old dance teacher is a good friend, she lives close and does a phenomenal job. 

I realized as the parent I need to help my kids feel validated, have new experiences and it wasn't going to hurt anyone to let her be with her friend. Yes it adds a little more inconvenience on my part but that's part of being a parent, right?

They did their recital in the dance studio. It's modern dance so they showed us how they warm up and do their name shapes.

 They did their Wizards and Wands dance.

 They have another dance to "All The Pretty Little Ponies"

 And their last dance was to John Lennon's, Happy Xmas (the war is over).

 They did a beautiful job and got a great surprise at the end...SANTA!
