B.U.S.Y

Things have been crazy around here. I had big intentions of making my kids time off track an awesome one, but I find that even though we're still doing stuff, I have to squeeze it in which makes it not as fun. At least for me it isn't.

Sunday we ate dinner quickly and were getting ready to go visit GG and the family but realize that would be one more thing we were adding to our plate. Although we love being with everyone, sometime you just have to take some time for yourself.

We called the family and told them we weren't coming, then Chris and I tried to make a family night together where we didn't have to run to basketball, hockey, dance, harmony, the list goes on.

Caely had a FHE she had made in Activity Days, a church group for girls similar to scouts but completely church sponsored and most the activities are based on the gospel.

On our list of fun things to do while the kids were off track was to make apple crisp. We made the crisp as a family and while it was cooking, Caely gave us a great lesson on serving.

After the lesson we had warm apple crisp and spent the rest of the night together.

Just us.

It was so nice.
