When I got back I stopped at the sample table and asked my kids if they wanted one. The lady at the table said, "can I tell you something?" I was totally startled. I thought she was going to tell me it was inappropriate to abandon my kids, that they might get stolen or something. She continued, "your kids are the best behaved kids I've ever seen, and I see hundreds a day. They just waited there and most kids would be screaming for a sample or wandering". I was feeling pretty good after that. They are amazing kids.
As we pulled out of the parking lot, there's a traffic light that was red. Caely excitedly exclaimed, "there's a deer!" I turned to look and right next to our car was a wandering deer. It was pretty cool.
Chris and I have gone out two nights in a row, and with Tyler gone at scout camp that left Caely to babysit. She is extremely responsible and we really trust her, but I still worry when we leave because she is so young and Patch has been really hard lately.
