Patch's class had a trip to the fire department a few weeks ago. I almost didn't go because I was having a busy week but I'm so glad I did. The firemen did such a great job talking to the kids and they even let them shoot out one of the "littler" hoses.
He had so much fun. I had him ask the firemen why non of them had hair (they all had shaved heads).
Their smart response was, "so when we get up in the middle of the night, we don't have bed head and scare little kids". I thought that was funny.
Now Patch wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.

We've taken tons of trips to fire stations and that looks by far the funnest!
