So after my run, I came home and Patch was still sleeping. A few moments later he was yelling for me and I sent Tyler up to check on him.
Tyler came down and told me that his eye was swollen shut, so I ran up to see what was the problem.
In the middle of the night Patch had told me multiple times that he couldn't see, but I had no idea that there was a real problem.

Chris and I took him to the
insta-care to have him checked out. The doctor found that he had a sinus infection and it was sitting in his eye. He was worried the infection was behind his eye so they needed more tests to see if he needed surgery or not. They sent us to Jordan Valley Hospital to get a CAT scan where we waited
forever to get some results.
The nurse came to give Patch and IV. We were pleased that she works with kids at PCH and thought getting the IV wouldn't be a problem. We were wrong. It was so sad to watch her twist the needle around his little hand just to pull it out and try in his arm.
Patch was so amazing. He cried, but tried to hold very still.

With no information and a super long wait (care of Patch's doctor not getting back to us) they then sent us on to Primary Children's hospital to give Patch an antibiotic through his IV.

Chris dropped me off at home so I could shower and take care of the kids when they got home from church. Yes, they got themselves ready and went on their own, what good kids I have. We are just on our way out the door to see this poor boy. As far as I know he's to spend the night, but we'll see as the day moves on.
Patch as literally been sleeping the entire day and even when he's awake, can't open his eyes. He hasn't eaten in days and still has a fever from the influenza. What an amazing kid this boy is. I love him with all my heart and wish I could take this nastiness from him. Please keep him in your prayers.
*Sorry about the sideways pictures, I'm posting this in a hurry to share with family but wanted to get them up so family could see.

Oh my goodness! How sad for Patch. You are in my prayers my dear friend Emily and sweet Patch.
Wow! That is more swollen than I even pictured. Poor kid. Hope the antibiotics work fast.
I hope the antibiotics hurry and kick in and help prevent a surgery. You are all in our prayers. I hope he gets better from all of this junk soon!
Wow, poor kid and poor mama! I hope the antibiotics do the trick FAST. That is just awful. Do you need a Dt. Coke?
Poor Patch. My heart aches for both of you! There is nothing worse than sitting by while one of your children are miserable. Hang in there. I'll pray for him.
oh Emily I am so sorry. I hope he is doing better. I have never heard of a sinus infection behind the eye and your pictures just makes me so sad for him. Give him a hug and a kiss for us. Love you guys
