Kid Time

Tonight was Tyler's Award Ceremony which was being held at Boondocks. Chris and I bought gift cards there long ago with intentions of taking the kids, but we've not had the chance. Tonight was the night, until...

we realized that Patch had to be home for his meds. What a cramp in our plans!

So Chris and I split up. He got the biggins and I got the littles.

Patch, Lexi and I went to see Yogi Bear at the dollar theater. Let me tell you, it was not a dollar. It was showing in 3D so we had to pay extra and our cheap little date ended up 3x's what I was expecting. No worries, to hear their laughs through out the movie was totally worth it.

Our next stop was to Costco. It's funny because my kids think this is a great place to go, so it was on target as a date place to stop. We always end up spending way too much when the kids come and of course they suckered me into getting more snacks than I planned on. Again, worth it to see their smiles.

On the way home we stopped for dinner at McDonald's and I promised the kids a picnic on my bedroom floor while they watched Tangled. They thought this was the coolest thing ever. They are so easy to please!

While they ate and watched their show, I sat in peace and quiet and caught the last half of biggest loser. It's funny that I was downing a quarter pounder w/ cheese while I'm watching a weight loss show. I was definitely feeling guilty.

Now their show is over and it's bed time. What a perfect night!

I love that you were downing a QP with cheese while watching Loser! So funny. I was eating Haagan Daaz Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream, but I only had 5 bites so it lessened the guilt a little. :) Glad Patch is doing better, and it sounds like you had a fun date.

We love Boondocks, but we don't go there often enough.. And we still love the movies and a dinner on our family room floor! That such a great moment for you and your littles...

You guys needed a great night after all of those really long stressful ones.
