I don't think we've ever build Gingerbread houses here at the Kesten's. It could be my controlling nature and the mess that it would bring. I don't know.
But this year, I finally broke down and let the kids have at it.
Caely and Patch built one and Tyler and Lexi, the other.
They were so cute. The bigger kids helped ice the house, they ate candy galore! they added all the little details that I wouldn't think of, like icicles.
Alexa and Patch couldn't wait any longer, they had to eat a gingerbread man the minute they were done.
The frosting tasted like glue, but they still ate it all!
Looks like we'll be adding this to the things we like doing at Christmas time.

It's official. You are a way cooler mom than me. Maybe I could relinquish the control if I gave them the kits and left the house for a couple of hours, lol!!
