Last night was Tyler's Arrow of Light Ceremony.
This is when he leaves cub scouts and moves on to boy scouts. He had to complete his wolf, bear and weblos ranks to get this award. It's the only award that moves on with him from cubs to boy scouts.
When the boys earn their badges, they get to pin their mothers, for we all know that his mom (and a little of his dad) helped him achieve this award, along with his wonderful leaders!
As the ceremony ends, the boys get to cross "the bridge" from cub to boy.
This is Tyler and his good friend. They both had August birthday and have been attending the 11yr. old scouts since June. Their scout leader had them give their pack chant.
When did he get so big?!
*Separate from Tyler, I am the wolf leader. It was quite the night for me as leader and mother. I love my calling and the boys I get to be with, but last night was bitter sweet for me. I've been in for a year and a half, so all the boys that came in last year are soon moving up to bears. They all earned they're Wolf badges last night. I am so proud of them! I'm also so sad to see them go. I've enjoyed every activity with them, they've been a great bunch of boys.
We have a great new bunch of 8yr. old boys, and I look forward to getting to know them and love them just as much. They've already been earning beads like crazy! It's going to be a good year.

Congratulations Tyler! WoW! He's like a head taller than his friend! I'm glad you are liking Cubs ~ it's always nice to like what you are in!
The boys can put their religious know they earned in Cubs on their Boy Scout uniform too!
