Our New Fishy Friends

Our kids have been asking for a dog for quite some time now. We're just not there yet, but we are ready for some fish. Some friends gave us their fish tank so we could give it to our kids for Christmas and we finally went and let the kids pick their new friends.

We've been meaning to let them go pick their fish since the day after Christmas, but someone is always missing or the timing hasn't been right. I finally said, no more waiting, and we went. Of course Patch was gone to a friends birthday party, so he missed out, but he'll get his next week.

Alexa's is the pink fish, named Pinkie. The spotted black and white one is Tyler's, and his name keeps changing. Caely's is the silvery fish with the black stripe, also not named.

For the love of all things sanitary, do NOT get a goldfish!! They are smelly, dirty, NASTY-a$$ things and you'll regret it 'till the day you flush it to the big tank in the sky.

Otherwise, great fish! Give the kiddoes a hug for me!!

Even though they aren't dogs, fish are still just too high maintenance for me... Further proof that you are one of the nicest moms on the planet!

I love that you actually took them and got fish. We had a really nice fish tank in our garage for years and never got the fish...

I think fish are great... un-named!
