We took off Friday afternoon and were on our way to Cache Valley. I've never been there before, but Tyler's played hockey up there.
We picked up our registration packets, and after our 2-hour drive we were hungry for dinner.
What were we thinking? It was a Friday night and Logan was packed with crazy runners looking for some carbs to load up on.
We picked Olive Garden and had to wait a mere 45 minutes for a table.
We then headed to Krissy's Aunt's for lodging. Her family was so sweet to let us stay. They were in the middle of a birthday party when we barged in, and they let us!
I was having one of my greatest runs ever!
To add to that, my most loving husband (I'm tearing as I think of how great he is) showed up with all four kids in tow to cheer me on. It was such a surprise. Remember, it's a TWO HOUR DRIVE! They showed up at mile 7, 9 1/2 , 11 and right there at the end. I loved hearing my kids and Chris cheering us on. I spent the entire half of the race trying not to bawl with joy.
We all did great! I have a new personal best of 1:57:04
Shauna's hubby showed up too, and we all headed out for a celebratory breakfast. I wasn't quite ready to come home to be the mom, but my kids have been great all day.
I feel so blessed to have such a supportive family, great friends, and good health.
