What a week! Wednesday the Mayo's came and we did some playing. Liz and I did a little shopping and enjoyed Cafe Rio, which is a must when they come to visit.
My nephew, Ben was also in town for a visit, so we had lots of crazy kids running around our house.
Wednesday night my brother and his family came out to help us set up the ice rink. Our friends next door came out too, we really appreciated the help.

As you can see, it's lots of work!

Thursday we were supposed to finish putting things together, but I ended up with two flat tires, so by the time we got home from dropping off the car, the rain had come.
Friday morning I emailed a few news stations and Channel 4 called to say they were coming! Since we hadn't finished putting up the fence I had to call our friends Jill and Stuart to come help us finish up the ice rink.

Pretty fancy huh?!

We also had a new set of family in town for the holiday. Our cousins, Yvonne, Linda and Michelle were here to play!

The
neighborhood kids were very excited to be skating and hoping for their debut on the news. They said they would be here around 11am, but finally showed up around 1:30pm (I couldn't find a link to share the story, sorry).

I think it turned out to be a fun memory for the kids.
We really appreciate all the help we got putting it up, now...who's going to take it down?!
