Last night my friend Jill took all of us to the Rodeo. When we got there the country music was blaring, which reminded me I don't love country music or tight jeans, so I'm thinking, "what in the heck am I doing at the rodeo?".
It ended up being a lot of fun.
The kids asked from the beginning when they would get to see the bulls. Of course they saved the bulls for last!
We did get to see Whiplash, the rodeo monkey. At first we thought it was some doll tied to the dog, but nope! It was real!
Jill brought out ice cream, bottled water and cotton candy, we were totally spoiled.
We ended up with 9 kids and 3 1/2 adults (1/2 being Stuart left early).
When they finally brought out the bulls, I was totally tense. I had a hard time watching men get bucked around. One of the first bull rides we watched, the guy jumped/fell off and it looked as if the bull landed on the inside of his leg and hurt him good.
They had girls riding for the barrel races, and every time Alexa saw someone new she would say, "I want to be her when I grow up!".
This morning Patch couldn't wait to tell his best buddy that he got to see the horses last night.
I'm glad we went, we all had a really good time!

That... I still have to take my children to see! I love that stuff but Charlie... well, he's not a fan! What fun friends you have! And I'll practice being fun so when we're closer, we'll do stuff too! LOL ;p
