Alrighty, well, here it is. There was a great response to my last weeks post on setting goals. I hope you're all doing well.
Last week I didn't get in the running I wanted, but I still ran 4 days. I lost 2.5lbs. which is crazy because I haven't lost anything for two months, so I'm very excited about that! I didn't change anything food wise, but I think the change in my running schedule helped my body.
Today I went and bought new running clothes (thanks mom) to help feel the part better. No, really it's for the awesome races that are coming up. I am getting way excited!
I also wanted to add a goal: Run 1 mile at 7.2mi per hour. That's about an 8:30 minute mile. Just one so I can say I did it.
I wish you all well on your goals, and if you get back to me on where you are, I'll post that for more motivation. I leave you with this quote,
"In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."
-Fred Lebow, New York City Marathon co-founder
You can also say that for any goal you've set and worked on.

What a great birthday gift...such motivation. You better not come visit me all skinny! I have to get there first. You are such a motivation even from 1000 miles away. Keep up the good work.
Awesome job Mrs. 2.5 lbs. I'm plugging along....this weather sure isn't helping my motivation to get out and run though. Keep up the good work!
Good for you! I'm sure the shake up in your routine got the weight moving again. You are very inspiring, and I am determined to get there too.
Wow, you are doing great! I am impressed. The only goal I've kept is giving up Diet Coke. It will be 4 weeks on Tuesday!
