Ugh

It's been a week since my last post, who does that? I should probably state that I am writing this too late at night and I can't/won't be held responsible for whatever might come out!
This last weekend my brother and I went to California to move my grandma here to live with my mom. I am not a sentimental person and I don't save things from my past. I'm lucky there are a few things from Tyler and Caely's births that I've saved, but poor Lexi and Patch got the shaft. On with the story. So, we looked though drawers and closets and such. In my findings I saw hilarious pictures of my youth, but mostly how geeky my brother and sister were (of course not me, I was the cool one). They are going to tease me for that. It was fun to look at but it just solidified that junk is junk. I found an old hat from probably the 40's and my grandma even had an original news paper from the day or day after President Kennedy was shot. There was even an old wallet with $2 bills from I can't remember when, I think the 40's or 50's.
My brother's birthday was on Monday so we took advantage of the free admission to Disneyland! Let me tell you, it was POURING rain. It was great! We were soaking from head to toe, so it really wasn't that noticeable that we got drenched on Splash Mountain. We had the park all done and over by 1:30pm and stayed until 3 for some shopping. Thanks for having a birthday Jim!
On with other news. Tonight I went to a friends "Favorites" party. It was great! The idea was you write down 3 of your favorite things from 2008 and bring one to share, plus you bring your favorite recipe from 2008 to sample. Let me tell you, it was great! Here are my favorites from 2008: 1. Michael Dowdle music~found at Deseret Book. He is an acoustic guitar player and I have two of his CD's. They are fabulous! 2. Hair bows~ this is what I brought to share. They are Gerber daisy's I think, that you cut off the bottoms and hot glue them to a barrette or clip of choice. Super cute and super cheap. My friend Shalynn came over today to help me put them together. 3. The saying: HOME is the place where you are loved the best, but grumble the most.
I picked this because it's so true. I want my kids to know they can always grumble to me and I'll still love them no matter what.
Well, seeing as it's super late and I have kids...this is the end of my update!

Those are some fun memories. Soaking wet at Disneyland, what could be better.
