Christmas Traditions

I think the thing I look forward to most at Christmas time is decorating the tree with my family. We have this tradition (if you call it that) that we pull out the boxes of ornaments and Chris sits in the big chair a hands each kid ornaments to hang. Christmas music plays in the back round and the kids are so impressed with their decorating skills. It really sets the mood for the holiday season. All of my kids have special ornaments that have been made or given to them and they love hearing the story of how they got it. It's so funny because it's almost like they've never heard their stories before. I just love the excitement that flows through the house as we decorate.

Lexi was sad she didn't get to go play with Caely and her friends so we made pumpkin chocolate chip bread. I've been wanting to bake a ton lately but because I've been trying to be good, it hasn't happened. So here's our first holiday baking!

Mike showed absolutely no self control last night and almost single-handedly finished off that loaf of pumpkin bread that you brought to our house last night. So, it must have been good! Thanks for sharing.
